School's Out for Summer!

~Parents, Caregivers & Guardians~

It's that time of year, once again, where activities keeping kids entertained, educated and enthralled with life, are being organized.  The importance of working together smoothly within one another's schedules is a highlighted factor, yet one not always easy!  Kids use parents, and adults in their lives, as role models to learn how to engage in the world around them.  They watch them closely to know how to handle certain situations. When young people see stressed out adults, their world becomes stressful. When they are in an environment where people are available to help each other out when needed, opportunities to grow socially expand.  The saying "It takes a Village to raise a child" is still true today.  A solid network of reliable people in life helps tremendously.  Community organizations such as churches, the YMCA, TimeBanks, parenting groups etc can provide an avenue for parents to help one another as well as to show children the importance of how sharing skills can strengthen a community.
This summer, keep in mind the resources available to make life easier.  Use them.  Contribute to them. Keep the circle of reciprocity going and watch as a generation of soon to be young adults take with them memories of how life looks when everyone works together.

~Thank you for your Time~
